Delivery/Pickup Information

Our meal boxes are much too precious for regular post, so we deliver them ourselves in our 100% Electric Vehicle - currently a humble Nissan Leaf! 

We can currently deliver a total of 40 boxes per day, Tuesday-Friday, and to keep the contents super fresh we put reusable icepacks in your box, and maximize the efficiency of our deliveries by using routing software, and delivering to different areas of the Wellington Region on different days.

Please check the map below to see which Delivery Zone you are in, then check beneath the map to see which days/times we deliver to your zone.

Please note: if you choose a delivery day that your address isn't compatible with, we will automatically move it to the first available day for your zone.

Text Description of Delivery Zones

Navy Zone: All central Wellington Suburbs, up to and including Churton Park and Grenada Village

Green ZoneTawa and Grenada North, Linden, Kenepuru, Porirua Central (West of the Motorway only) Elson, Titahi Bay.

Light Blue ZonePorirua City, Cannons Creek, Waitangirua, Aotea, Ascot Park, Papakowhai, Paremata, Whitby, Camborne, Plimmerton, Hongoeka, , Pauatahanui, Pukerua Bay, and Paekakariki.

Yellow ZonePetone, Alicetown, Lower Hutt City (West of the River only), Korokoro, Maungaraki, Normandale.

Red Zone: Horokiwi, Upper Hutt up to and including Te Marua, Wallaceville, Stokes Valley, Wainuiomata, Arakura, Point Howard, York Bay, Lowry Bay, Mahina Bay, Sunshine Bay, Days Bay, Eastbourne, Muritai.

Purple Zone: Harbourview, Tirohanga, Belmont, Kelson, Taita, Avalon, Naenae, Epuni, Waterloo, Woburn, Waiwhetu, Moera, Central Lower Hutt on the East of the River, Seaview, Gracefield.

Unfortunately we do not deliver to the following areas:
- north of Paekakariki
- north of Upper Hutt (ie. anywhere on or past the Remutakas)
- past Wallaceville House (i.e. Whiteman's Valley)
- past Pinehaven (i.e. Blue Mountains)
- south of Eastbourne ie. south of Burdan's Gate
- past Hazlewood Ave on South Karori Road
- past the Skyline Walkway Trailhead/Mākara Saddle
- past McLintock Street North on Ohariu Valley Rd 

These locations are too far for our EV to go within the delivery time frames. But please get in touch if you are interested and we will see if it is a possibility! Alternatively you can order a box to pick up!

Apartment Deliveries:

Because we employ our own delivery drivers, this means we do not have access codes/keys to apartments like many couriers do. If we are unable to access your front doorstep or apartment mailbox area and you aren't home to let us in or cannot give us a code, we may not be able to leave your delivery.

Please assist us in successful apartment deliveries by providing:
- the access code to your apartment foyer, preferably in the notes of your order
- OR a time frame you will be home within the delivery time you have chosen
- OR an alternative address we can deliver the box safely for you i.e. work address

Returning jars from apartment deliveries: Please leave out or bring any boxes, jars and icepacks for us to collect at your mailbox/foyer area in a safe place where they will not be a hazard to other residents.

If you absolutely cannot receive a delivery during our 10am-4pm Tues-Fri time slots please contact us and together we will find a solution!
The best solution is that you come to our kitchen to pick up your box, but we understand not everyone can do this! Currently we can offer a few drop offs from 5:30-7pm Tuesdays to Wellington CBD addresses only, but this by request only, so if that is the only option that would work for you, please get in touch to request this before ordering!

You can Pick Up your Box!

Just select the day you want to pick up your box when you are ordering, then choose the Pick Up option at the checkout screen.

: 9am-6:30pm (boxes are ready at approx 5:30pm, choose the Tuesday 10am-4pm option and add a note or email us about coming on Monday!)
Tuesday: 9am-6pm (choose Tuesday 10am-4pm option)
Wednesday: 9am-5pm (choose Wednesday 10am-4pm option)
Thursday: 10am-5pm (choose Thursday 10am-4pm option)
Friday:  pick ups by appointment only (choose Friday 10am-4pm option) please email us a time frame you can pick up in and we will get back to you asap!

Delivery FAQs

  • What if I can't receive a delivery within any of the above times?

Because I have food safety concerns: Our boxes are refrigerated overnight and then packed with icepacks, and the food isn't as perishable as other foods (ie. no meat or dairy), so our boxes are completely fine to be left on a doorstep for the day until you get home and can refrigerate the perishable contents.
Because I have security/theft concerns: If you can't receive your box due to security, the best option is to come by our kitchen to pick up your box. Check the times above for when pick up is available, we are very flexible! Otherwise, please email us and we will get back to you about arranging a time for delivery that works for you. 

  • What specific time will my delivery be?

Unfortunately, short of the 10am-4pm time slot we are unable to specify when your delivery will be, as our route varies a lot each week and it would be too much extra work for our team to do this without increasing the price of our boxes! If you need your delivery to be after a certain time, we can sometimes do this but please email us with your request and we will get back to you.

  • My delivery has not arrived and its after 4pm?

If your delivery has not arrived at the end of your chosen time slot please wait until 5pm (the driver may just be running late and your box may be last in the run), but let us know after 5pm has passed and we will investigate the situation. 

  • My delivery arrived but on a different day than the one I chose?

You may have chosen a delivery time incompatible with your address. Please refer to the information above regarding the Delivery Zones, this may explain your box being delivered at a different time/day than you expected.
