2024 Delivery/Pickup Info

Our meal boxes are much too precious for regular post, so we deliver them ourselves in our 100% Electric Vehicle - currently a humble Nissan Leaf! 

We can currently deliver a total of 40 boxes per day, Tuesday-Friday, and to keep the contents super fresh we put reusable icepacks in your box, and maximize the efficiency of our deliveries by using routing software, and delivering to different areas of the Wellington Region on different days.

Text Description of Delivery Zones

Navy Zone: Wellington (excl. Karori and Horokiwi), up to and including Grenada North, Tawa and Linden

Pink Zone: Karori (everything west of Curtis St until the end of Hazlewood Ave on South Karori Rd, and up to the Mākara Saddle)

Green Zone: Porirua up to and including Pukerua Bay and out to and including Whitby.

Yellow Zone: Petone, Alicetown, Lower Hutt City, Korokoro, Maungaraki, Normandale, Harbourview, Tirohanga, Belmont, Kelson, Taita, Avalon, Naenae, Epuni, Waterloo, Woburn, Waiwhetu, Moera, Seaview, Gracefield.

Red Zone (areas in bold incur $5 delivery fee): Wallaceville, Stokes Valley, Upper Hutt up to and including Te Marua, HorokiwiWainuiomata, ArakuraDays Bay including Point Howard, York Bay, Lowry Bay, Mahina Bay, Sunshine Bay, Eastbourne, down to the end of Muritai.

Light Blue Zone (all incur $5 delivery fee): Pauatahanui, Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae up to and including Peka Peka.
 

Unfortunately we do NOT currently deliver to the following areas:
- North of Pekapeka
- South of Elizabeth St along Reikorangi Rd
- North of Birchville (i.e. past Akatarawa Cemetery)
- North/West of Te Marua in Upper Hutt (ie. anywhere on or past the Remutakas)
- East of Wallaceville House (i.e. Whiteman's Valley)
- Past Riverstone Terraces (i.e. Craig's Flat, Bulls Run Road)
- East of Pinehaven (i.e. Blue Mountains)
- South of Eastbourne (ie. South of Burdan's Gate)
- past end of Hazlewood Ave on South Karori Road
- past the Skyline Walkway Trailhead/Mākara Saddle
- past McLintock Street North on Ohariu Valley Rd 
- past Grenada North (i.e. Woodburn Drive and Takapu Valley)
- Moonshine Valley

These locations are too far for our EV to go within the delivery time frames. But please get in touch if you are interested and we will see if it is a possibility! Alternatively you can order a box to pick up from our kitchen, see below for details.

Apartment Deliveries:

Because we employ our own delivery drivers, this means we do not have access codes/keys to apartments like many couriers do. If we are unable to access your front doorstep or apartment mailbox area and you aren't home to let us in or cannot give us a code, we may not be able to leave your delivery.

Please assist us in successful apartment deliveries by providing:
- the access code/directions your apartment foyer/mailroom preferably in the notes of your order
- OR a time frame you will be home within the delivery time you have chosen
- OR an alternative address we can deliver the box safely for you i.e. CBD work address with instructions if it's hard to find you or the office

Returning jars from apartment deliveries: Please leave out or bring any boxes, jars and icepacks for us to collect at your mailbox/foyer area in a safe place where they will not be a hazard to other residents.

If you absolutely cannot receive a delivery to you or your doorstep during our 9am-5pm Tues-Fri time slots please contact us and together we will find a solution!
The best solution is that you could come to our kitchen to pick up your box, but we understand not everyone can do this, so please get in touch and we will try to find a solution.

You can Pick Up your Box!

Just select the day you want to pick up your box when you are ordering, then choose the Pick Up option at the checkout screen. Please email us to arrange the time you would like to pick up your order.

Delivery FAQs

  • What if I can't receive a delivery within any of the above times?

Because I have food safety concerns: Our boxes are refrigerated overnight and then packed with icepacks, and the food isn't as perishable as other foods (ie. no meat or dairy), so our boxes are completely fine to be left on a doorstep for the day until you get home and can refrigerate the perishable contents.
Because I have security/theft concerns: If you can't receive your box when not home due to security issues, the best option is to come by our kitchen to pick up your box. Please email us and we will get back to you about arranging a time for pick up or delivery that works for you. 

  • What specific time will my delivery be?

Unfortunately, short of the 9am-5pm time slot we are unable to specify when your delivery will be, as our route varies a lot each day. If you need your delivery to be before/after a certain time, we can sometimes do this, but please email us with your request and we will get back to you to confirm.

  • My delivery has not arrived and its after 5pm?

If your delivery has not arrived at the end of your chosen time slot please wait until 6pm (the driver may just be running late/stuck in traffic and your box may be last in the run), but let us know after 6pm has passed and then email us, and we will investigate the situation ASAP.

  • My delivery arrived but on a different day than the one I chose?

You may have chosen a delivery time incompatible with your address. Please refer to the information above regarding the Delivery Zones, this may explain your box being delivered on a different day than you expected.
