To gift a meal box:
Purchase the Pay it Forward option to cover the cost of a Treat Yourself Box for someone in need. Ngā mihi nui (thank you)!
Enter your own details with the order - your details will not be shared, and people who claim a box will not know who paid for it. The Pay it Forward option already includes the shipping cost. If you are not also ordering something for yourself please select the 'add on' (free shipping) option at checkout to avoid paying a second shipping fee. Pay it Forward orders are processed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Gifting a box to a particular person?
The Pay it Forward box can not be gifted to a specific person or address. If you want to gift meals to someone you know, see our Gift Vouchers, or you can purchase a meal box for them.
To claim a free box:
Anyone living within our current delivery zones is eligible to claim a box.
If you are experiencing financial hardship and need help with eating well, please claim a box for you and your whānau. If you are feeding more than 2 people you may order more than one box, provided there are enough boxes available to claim. Yum Jar meals should be consumed within a week of delivery.
Free shipping: Our system will automatically add a $5 delivery fee. This fee has been covered by the person paying the meal forward: please select the 'add on' (free shipping) option.
We are not able to change recipes for donated boxes. To receive a gluten free box, please add a note requesting gluten free to your order when checking out.
Your box will contain 3 meals of 2 portions each!

I've claimed a box, what now?
1. You will receive an automated confirmation email once your order goes through. If you do not receive it, check your spam, and email us if you can't find it. Adding yumjarnz@gmail.com to your contacts can help avoid your spam filters.
2. We will process your order and add it to the next available delivery day for your address. You will receive a reminder email the day before your delivery. If you do not receive a reminder email within 7 days of claiming, please email us to let us know.
3. We will deliver your order between 9am-5pm on the day specified in the reminder email.
4. Once you've got your box, check out the Meal Box Instructions page for all the information about what to do with the contents, which recipes it contains, and how to cook them. Enjoy your meals!
5. Washed reusable jars, lids, defrosted icepacks, and carboard boxes can be returned to us after you are finished with them. Please get in touch via email to arrange collection or a drop off.
