RECOLLECTIONS: You DO NOT need to order this if:
- you are expecting a delivery from us soon: we will automatically recollect your jars if you leave them out for the delivery driver on the day of your next delivery
- you are pausing/cancelling a current subscription: please email us for a free collection.
DONATIONS: currently we have a surplus of most jars so we are unable to accept most donations. However we are happy to collect the following:
- jars and lids you got from us in the first place
- jars sized 250ml or smaller, or exactly 1 litre*
- reusable ice packs (please defrost them first if possible so they are dry)

Cut-off for collection orders is Monday midnight at the latest. Any late orders will not be processed until the following week. Please get in touch with us via email before ordering to ask for a late collection.
*WE DON'T WANT/CAN'T USE:
- jars that aren't clear glass (i.e. frosty, green or brown)
- jars with plastic or unusual lids
- jars larger than 1 Litre
- jars that don't close again (i.e. some baby food jars cannot be resealed)
- damaged jars or lids (i.e. rusty, have holes, chipped)
- glass bottles - we already have many and don't often use them
- bottles with unremovable plastic lids (ie. soy sauce bottles),
- any plastic containers
- any cans/metal containers
- any wine/beer/spirit bottles
- cardboard boxes that aren't Yum Jar's (it's ok to use any kind of box to donate jars in, but we don't need any that aren't our ones in addition to that!)
- wool insulation (we don't use it)
Please keep these other items and/or recycle them yourself with your local council. We are not a recycling service, we only take things we can re-use for our service. Thanks for understanding!
How it works:
1. Click 'add to cart', then go to the checkout.
2. If you cannot leave the box for collection on your doorstep please include a note with instructions i.e. "box is on back porch", "will leave under tarp", "please call on arrival" or "foyer door code xxxx, box is under mailboxes". Please note: we can only pick up jars within our current Delivery Zones in the Wellington Region.
3. You do not need to purchase anything else - the only cost is our 'delivery' fee of $5-10, depending on your location. This small delivery fee help us pay our delivery drivers a living wage for their time. The free 'pickup' option at checkout is for customers who have ordered a meal box and want to pick it up from our warehouse, NOT FOR JAR COLLECTIONS. Thanks!
4. Complete and pay for your order via the checkout with correct address, email, and phone number.
5. You will then be added to our Thursday driver's schedule and will receive an email reminder the evening before collection day.

Prefer to drop off your jars for FREE? You don't need to order!
Just come by our address 25 Cairns St, Rongotai, from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. If the warehouse is not open, please just leave the jars directly to the right of the door in the little space between the wall and the fence.

We have diverted thousands of jars from the energy intensive recycling process, and nearly as many ice packs from landfill, by giving them a second life in our reuse business model, and reusing them again and again! Read more about this here!
